Masterseminar: Contemporary Topics in Empirical Management Accounting Research (SoSe 2023)
Course Description
The course introduces students to academic literature on management accounting research. In particular, the seminar focuses on the role of sustainability. Sustainability reporting and management have been a hot topic in recent literature and news. Expectations of regulators, stake- and shareholders on sustainability management and reporting have introduced novel challenges to firms. In this course, we will explore how sustainability management is related to information systems, strategy, incentives and organization. We plan to review methodological approaches and their respective shortcomings, as well as the current state of management accounting research.
