SoSe18: Survey of English Grammar

In the course Survey of English Grammar we will be dealing with the most central topics of English Grammar i.e. Clause Structure of canonical clauses, Syntactic functions (such as subject, predicator, predicative complement, etc.), Phrase Structure (NP, VP, AdjP, AdvP, PP), Clause Types and Speech Acts, Types of negation, Subordinate clauses (finite vs. non-finite).

A certain number of copies paid out of „QSL-Mittel” are available in the library „Bibliothekszentrum Geisteswissenschaften”. But I recommend that students actually buy the book, since as English teachers they are likely to consult it from time to time at the university and throughout their teaching careers!
